Going for Water by Robert Frost The poem is about children who are happily going to fetch water in the river. The kids are carrying a pail and a can mainly because of the season, which is justifiable the presence of the well-lit moon. The children are not worried going out since the moon is brighter outside and it is warmer due to the season. The children are also very familiar with the environment hence the reason for the statement “we own its”. My analysis of the poem indicates an alternating pattern of lines and rhyme of (abcb).

The second stanza slightly changes to (abbb) which goes back to (abcb) in the third stanza. Presence of repetition is evident in the third stanza when the word ‘without’ is used repeatedly to stress the meaning. The tone of the poem is cool emphasized by the absence of sound of birds, breeze, and leaves. The Trial by Existence by Robert Frost This poem indicates the troubled background that Robert Frost undergone in his childhood. The poem is encouraging as it speaks of courage from God. The poem also identifies spirits that exists in the society.

A bright tone is created in the second stanza when the poet paints a picture of whiteness in addition to the brightness created by the moon and the reflections of the hills and valleys. The poet talks of the end days when Go will be revealing his might through his spirits. A jovial mood is identified in the sixth stanza where the poet says that there should be dancing and singing. The poet concludes by advising us that our lives is a matter of choice and we are well aware of the consequences but we still insist on attracting the wrath of God.
