Part 1

Gerald Smarten has different ways of balancing the needs of Kaspa and the community, especially when considering the strengths and weaknesses. First, it is imperative to exercise ethical judgment to save lives and property. This is because ethical decisions are hinged on pragmatic approaches that are interlinked with an emotional response. In other words, validation of strategic ideas should follow the accepted procedures that respect and upholds the dignity of human morale. Second, offering support is critical through payment of hospital and medical bills including attending funerals. The move is strengthening because it ensures that members of the Kaspa community are accepted back as fellow human beings. Another vital idea involves catering for surviving families through the provision of long-term benefits such as establishing pension schemes. Alternatively, concentrating on the patience of the staff is largely fundamental because it determines how both the city and firm are run. It suggests that Kaspa’s connectivity must find a relationship with suggested recommendations of improving the surrounding environs. The private sector, therefore, has an integral role in introducing emergency preparedness to permit its participants to galvanize collective thinking of strengthening individual components. Consequently, balancing the needs of the community must abide by the equilibrium of available financial services. These services are critical when evaluating the talents and capabilities of the executives working with Smarten within the Kapsa community. Overall, while focusing on the strengths of assisting the Kapsa community overcomes its challenges, the leader should also assess the weaknesses of his decisions.

However, there are also weaknesses that abound from the decisions made by Gerald Smarten in regards to the interests of the Kapsa community. For instance, low probability in creating solutions is critical when interspersed with three components. These are personal coping strategies, institutional and social services particularly those emerging from coworkers and neighbors. In contrast, the inclusion of emotional thoughts by Smarten is crucial but it cannot initiate civic responsibility. Therefore, equilibrium setting is what influences the competitive dynamics directly affecting cities and firms found within the Kapsa community. Likewise, for fixed-income traders, Smarten believes that their ethical behavior and involvement are vital to generating morale by averting short-term negatives. Organizational procedures, thus, do not interfere with major decisions established by the management especially when connected to fiduciary duties (McNulty 3). The roles and responsibilities created by Kapsa attempt to prevent investors and key stakeholders from the company in terms of liability tests and the succeeding facilities that commandeer resources. Long-term interests, on the other hand, try to avoid the subsequent effects of competitive dynamics that often create crises in the company when guarding the city against possible terrorist attacks. Legally or ethically, resources dispensed in the wrong account demonstrate the level of expertise that avoids numerous fatalities or causalities. Kaspa, hence, fulfills the temporary goals and objectives that deter market crashes in cases where insurance is missing. Liability is another issue that usually facilitates damages incurred by both small and big firms that are facing imminent threats of attacks.

Part 2

Different priorities are essential as a Community Advisor to Mayor Menino in the context of preventing future attacks in Boston. The Boston Attacks involved two brothers who staged explosions during an international marathon. Consequently, numerous lives were lost and property destroyed including the death of an MIT officer and one of the suspects. Therefore, in introducing creative priorities, it is important to consider long-term instead of short-term benefits.

  • One of the priorities, hence, entails intensive counseling for both the victims and other the unhurt members of that state. Stakeholders are tasked with investigating the causes of the crisis from multiple perspectives ranging from human errors to failure by machines. As a result, counselors find a suitable platform for addressing the underlying issues that directly affect the wellbeing of a Boston resident. Another means of addressing the above priority involves encouraging victims to speak freely without any inhibitions.
  • Avoiding panic is equally a crucial step because it prevents citizens from overreacting to dangerous situations. The priority can thus be implemented via setting up strong institutions of cooperation and intelligence that work on a problem before it becomes uncontrollable. In other words, it is upon authorities to evaluate emerging crises from different spectrums while noting their outcomes. Eventually, this assists in managing the consequences that come from panic and desperation in case of attacks.
  • As a community advisor, another fundamental priority encompasses the use of ethical methods to address the pressing issues preventing Boston residents from moving forward. Ethical methods include the use of law agencies that deal with matters objectively without bias to avoid prejudices in preventing acts of terror. Legislations from Congress should equally support all the ethical decisions that come from the Mayor to assure the residents of peace and calm.
  • Constant communication between Boston citizens and authorities is equally imperative to enhance security matters. This is through providing vital information and intelligence reports that are commiserate with the needs of the community. It implies that the priority is both short and long term in different ways worth noting. First, it encourages interaction at the local, regional, and national levels through coordinated talks to make decision-making easier. Second, communication aids in opening other platforms of expressing information for law enforcement agencies that are working on terror issues that threaten lives. Overall, communication should not only favor the few while leaving out the vulnerable citizens.
  • Dispensation of resources equally and equitably is another priority that defines the transition required of Boston residents after the attacks. As a result, as a Community Advisor, I am tasked with outlining the distribution of such resources in regards to key areas that require immediate assistance. On that account, priority plays a fundamental role in addressing sensitive matters that deal with giving Boston people a chance to verify matters from different angles. For example, ample resources enable the law enforcers to critically assess the eventual impact of criminal acts that are interconnected with other issues such as crime prevention and detection.
