The life on Mars Mars is the second smallest planet of the solar system. It is little bigger than the earth’s half. The livable area of Mars is a little bigger than earth with 4200 diameters with surface area of about 212,000,000 square miles. The livable area on Mars is big because there are no oceans. All the oceans dried up so long ago. The weather on Mars in winter is very severe. The temperature drops to zero even though Mars is existed on Equatorial regions. The summers, springs and autumn are mild in nature. Martian year is 687 days long. There are no wind or thunder storms on the planet. It is void of rainfalls so water is a precious commodity on the planet. The atmospheric conditions on the planet are very light. People have not developed the lungs abnormally. That’s why they do not need a lot of oxygen to breathe (Kennon chapter 2). As the water on the planet is scarce, so the waterways have been built with comparatively new methods so that the vegetables and crops be irrigated and the water needs of the whole population could be fulfilled. Double waterways parallel to each other have been created in an order if the landslides destruct one canal system, the people do not face water scarcity. Great reservoirs have been constructed in order to fill with water when seasonal thaw happens on the poles. To save water from wasting, these reservoirs have proved very handy for the Martians (Kennon chapter 3). Life on Mars seems very pleasant and peaceful. No conflicts occur on the property at all amongst people as they know the whole property belongs to the God, who created the land for its creature to live peacefully. People do not store money other than their needs because it is believed that it leads to selfishness which is sinful and creates greed and ultimately leads to disharmony in the people. The Martians believe that the money is an abstraction. What is left behind is the knowledge of God that an individual will have. So, this conception makes life easy and peaceful for the Martians (Kennon chapter 5). Trade and barter system do not exist on Mars. Although different products are manufactured in the centralized industries like clothes, food stuff etc. but as Martians are very cooperative and grudge free, all the production is done on the basis of necessities of the individuals. People work in the industries in order to fulfill every individual’s needs not for the sake of profit which is thoroughly materialistic. There is no competition as there exists no law of supply and demand. There are some big depots and distribution centers where all necessities are kept in order to fulfill needs of the people. Flying ships are used as a means of transportation and they carry huge amount of stuff to their destination with gravitational force (Kennon chapter 6). As all the Martians live in harmony, they believe in sharing of things. No one needs to borrow a vehicle or anything else. The people can ask for a needed article from another individual not with a feeling of borrowing but as that article belongs to the whole community. All material things are possessions of all Martians. This is the virtue of solidarity which unites the whole planet (Kennon chapter 6). Martians do have an oral and written language but that is free from complexities which enable the people to express their natural abilities to the maximum extent. Every individual goes to school till the age of 16. There are numerous universities on the planet where teachers impart their knowledge to the students for developing their skills. The students enter directly in to the universities right from home. Students are prepared to be united so that they can work in harmony to develop the planet. The student chooses a profession in a way that it would not only benefit him but the whole Martian community (Kennon chapter 7). The God has created everyone with some purpose. Individuals spend six hours of the day for work. The rest of the time is devoted in recreational activities like music, lectures etc. The Martians believe that individuals need space to develop their spirituality. According to the time measurement of earth, the marriage age for both male and female is 35 years. The mates are chosen for marriage with special attention, not to disrupt the spiritual harmony. Divorces do not exist on the planet as truth and spirituality is the core of each marital relationship. Children are also reared with special attention with teachings of truth (Kennon chapter 7). Although Mars is filled with millions of individuals but there is no need of any watchman or policeman. People are self motivated and they do not need guardians in order to protect their houses, factories and other belongings and for abandoning any illegitimate activities. People do not need to steal anything as they can get everything they need without interference from anyone. There are no church systems on Mars as the Martian believe it to be a hindrance in their worship. It can lead to sectarianism which can disrupt the harmonious system. They believe that everything belongs to God, so there should not be any divisions in the religion (Kennon chapter 8). When we talk about the political system on Mars, there does not exist one. The Martians believe Mars to be place where people live with love and harmony. So, there is no need for any kind of administrative bureaus. Mars is a place with no ill wills and autocracy and bureaucracy takes place in an undeveloped society. So, on a planet like Mars where life is so harmonious, no political system is needed to regulate the system or lives of the inhabitants (Kennon chapter 9). So, the life on planet Mars is full of love, harmony and unity. Life is peaceful and selfless. Everything is in peace. People share their belongings with each other and no one claims to the property which belongs to God. There are no conflicts and differences in people over food, clothing, houses or education as everyone has access to everything he or she needs. So, life on Mars seems very pleasant and idealistic.
